ALP Active offers fun, active and affordable birthday parties in Darlington for children of all ages, hosted at Hummersknott Academy. Our popular children’s birthday parties combine energetic activities with dedicated party space, making them the perfect way to celebrate a birthday with friends.
Each birthday party includes one hour of organised activities led by an experienced coach or lifeguard, followed by one hour in our dining hall for food, cake and celebrations (food not included).
Sports Birthday Parties

Pool Birthday Parties
Our pool birthday parties in Darlington are a fantastic option for children who love swimming. Hosted in the swimming pool at Hummersknott Academy, these parties are fully supervised by a qualified lifeguard to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Pool Party Package:
- 1 hour swimming party in the pool with a lifeguard (maximum 20 children)
- 1 hour use of the dining hall
- Price: £150.00
Party Numbers & Flexible Options
The standard maximum number of children for our birthday parties at Hummersknott Academy is 20. Larger birthday parties can be accommodated on request, subject to availability, with an additional charge to cover extra coaches or lifeguards.
If you would prefer to run a sports birthday party yourself, the cost of the coach can be deducted from the total price. Likewise, if you do not require use of the dining hall, this cost can also be removed, allowing you to tailor your party package.

Payment Information
Payment for your birthday party is made securely via our online booking system. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions to review your booking and complete payment by card.
